Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 11, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website operated by Chad Petriw Electric Ltd. (“CPE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at petriwelectric.com (https://www.petriwelectric.com), including its contact forms, online booking links, articles, and other online features (collectively, the “Website”).
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
1. Website Purpose
The Website provides general information about CPE, our electrical services, service area, and ways to contact or request service from us.
The Website Terms govern use of the Website only. They do not replace any estimate, work authorization, service agreement, invoice terms, warranty, or other agreement that may apply to electrical work performed by CPE. If a separate written agreement conflicts with these Terms regarding electrical services, the separate agreement will govern those services.
2. Information Is General Only
Website content, including articles and descriptions of electrical issues or services, is provided for general informational purposes. It is not a substitute for an on-site assessment or advice tailored to a particular property or situation.
Electrical work can be hazardous and may be subject to permits, inspections, codes, and licensing requirements. Do not rely on Website content to diagnose, repair, install, or modify electrical systems. Contact a qualified electrician and, in an emergency involving fire, smoke, electrical shock, sparking, or immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.
3. Booking and Contact Requests
Submitting a contact form, booking request, estimate request, email, or text message does not:
-
guarantee availability or a response within a particular time;
-
create an electrician–customer relationship;
-
constitute CPE’s acceptance of a job;
-
confirm an appointment unless CPE expressly confirms it; or
-
create a binding quote, price, warranty, or service contract.
You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and reasonably complete. Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information through the Website or ordinary email or text message.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Website only for lawful purposes. You must not:
-
interfere with the Website’s operation, security, or availability;
-
attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Website or related systems;
-
introduce malicious code, automated scraping tools, or harmful technology;
-
impersonate another person or submit false or misleading information;
-
use Website content in a way that infringes intellectual property or other rights; or
-
use the Website to harass, threaten, defraud, or harm CPE or any other person.
We may restrict or block access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or the Website is being misused.
5. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its content—including text, graphics, branding, photographs, videos, page designs, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to CPE and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and print reasonable portions of the Website for your personal, non-commercial use. No other reproduction, modification, distribution, republication, or commercial use is permitted without prior written authorization from CPE or the applicable rights holder.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The Website may link to or use third-party services, such as an online booking provider, maps, social media, review platforms, or other external websites. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. CPE does not control and is not responsible for the availability, security, accuracy, or content of third-party services.
7. Website Availability and Accuracy
We try to keep Website information useful and current, but we do not guarantee that all content is complete, accurate, or up to date. Services, availability, hours, team information, and Website features may change without notice.
The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, CPE disclaims warranties regarding the Website, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted access, and freedom from errors or harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CPE and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to your use of—or inability to use—the Website or your reliance on its content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPE’s total liability for claims arising solely from use of the Website will not exceed CAD $100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any rights or remedies you may have under applicable consumer-protection law.
9. Privacy
Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information through the Website and related online communications are described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you acknowledge that you have reviewed that policy.
10. Changes to the Website or These Terms
We may update the Website or these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Manitoba, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, disputes relating to these Terms or the Website will be submitted to the courts located in Manitoba.
12. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CPE regarding use of the Website, subject to any separate agreement governing electrical services.
